Transition to High School
During the academic year, we hold several events to help Year 6 children with their transition to High School. These dates are all tied into the admission timetable set by Suffolk County Council.
We begin with an Open Evening, on 10th October 2024, which shows Year 6 children and Parents/Carers, the school and it's departments in action (more detailed information can be found in the News section on our home page).
Following this, we hold two liaison mornings, this year on 18th October 2024 and 31st March 2025, for pupils that wish to attend Debenham High School. Although a place is not guaranteed at the school, it is recommended that you attend these events so that your child can get to know the school and make friends with other Year 6 children from other schools.
Finally, we have an Induction Day, this year on 9th July 2024, where children come into school for the whole day, take part in school lessons and inter-active activities.
If you would like your child to join our liaison process and if your child is not in one of our feeder primary schools, please complete this form and return to the school.
As the school is an Academy, any application that is made to the school requires a Supplementary Information Form to be completed and returned to the school.
