Wellbeing Evening
Dear Parent/Carer,
An Evening on Working Together to Support Your Child on 27th June 2023
A huge thank you to those who were able to attend on Tuesday evening. It was a great opportunity to learn together through workshops and to hear from Dr Hazel Harrison about ways to proactively promote positive mental and emotional wellbeing.
The positivity of the messages of ways we can work together to support our young people to remain healthy and to learn are always so valuable and more effective that when we need to respond to difficulty.
To ensure that the resources used on the evening are available to the whole school community, we have put the Presentations below:
Many thanks to Dr Hazel Harrison for giving her time to speak to us and to share her thinking on PERMA 2.0. Please click on this link to access the presentation
While the evening was very comprehensive, there are other resources provided through Suffolk County Council that you could explore to support your child, depending on their needs
- For some adults for whom their maths (numeracy) skills are lacking, and this project may help: Multiply - Learn Suffolk
- For resources to support parental understanding of ELSA and emotional literacy at Free Resources Archives - ELSA Support (elsa-support.co.uk)
- Resources around Emotionally Base School Avoidance at EBSA Emotionally Based School Avoidance - Suffolk County Council
As ever we would welcome feedback on the evening in order to help us better prepare for future events.
Warm regards
